Tucson International Gem Show

Every year I travel to Tucson, AZ for the largest gem show in the country. Vendors from all over the world gather here to display their beautiful stones, gems, textiles and more! I love that in just a few days, I can sort through remarkable pieces from places like India, Brazil, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

This show is a source of great inspiration and drives my creative process as I start to design for the upcoming year. I was immediately drawn to the tribal jewelry and gems that have stories steeped in ritual and tradition. One vendor from Afghanistan was particularly inspiring, as I was completely captivated by the intricate detail and ethnic look of the designs.

Meeting people from all over the world and the immense range of precious and semi-precious gems, as well as beads, charms and vintage pieces opens me up to new designs and materials to push Anna Beck forward.

Introducing: GILI Lapis with White Quartz

This collection is inspired by my love of this magical blue stone.  Lapis is an ancient gem with a rich history that dates back to early Egyptian culture. The stone is believed to offer protection, harmony, and clarity. Powerful blue hues are also something I like to bring into my home to create  a sense of calm and tranquility that can only be found in nature.

Becky & Rachel in Bali

A few weeks ago, my sister and business partner Rachel came to visit me in Bali. It had been nearly 4 years since her last trip to Bali, and it was such a gift to have her revisit my home and our factory in Bali.  This week Rachel shares her experience.

Traveling to Bali to see my sister Becky was incredible. The best part was riding on the back of her scooter through the many villages and having her explain what I was seeing; whether it was a local Hindu Ceremony or the baskets on local women’s heads. I always had a question, and she always had an answer.

Meeting the Smiths at our factory in Denpasar was particularly extraordinary because I saw our jewelry being made first-hand and the time and detail each silversmith puts into creating each piece. I have such an incredible respect for the work they do and how well our factory is run.

The most rewarding part was really getting to spend quality time with Becky in the culture that has given both of us so much. She truly is in love with Bali and it was amazing to share in that love with her.

Anna Beck Los Angeles Office

We're excited to share some photos of our newly designed Anna Beck Los Angeles office space.

It was important to capture the essence of Bali and travel.  We chose visuals of inspirational places, pictures of our most recent photo shoot, and colorful textiles from India, Thailand and Bali.

We feel this space truly reflects the brand and our mission of giving, sharing and enjoying the journey.
