Celebrating Mother's Day

All of us at Anna Beck would like to wish all the mothers out there a wonderful and very happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day is a very special day to remember and show appreciation for all the wonderful women in the world who sacrifice and care for children. And this year I am so grateful to be home in the States with my own mother!

This day is also very special to me because our company works so closely with Robin Lim and her organization Bumi Sehat. This wonderful woman does so much for the families lucky enough to work with her. We are so proud to support Robin as she helps keep women safe and healthy as they become mothers.

Gili Green Chrysoprase Chalcedony

I always strive to bring the unique look and feel of Bali into each new collection I create. When designing for this spring, I decided to go with bold colors and designs that would be classic statement pieces. I was immediately drawn to the color green because everything in Bali is so lush. I have a great amount of respect for the beauty of nature and all of its elements.

Green chrysoprase chalcedony was the perfect stone to represent this for Anna Beck's spring line. Green is life--it signifies growth, renewal, health, and environment. Green is also a restful color with some of the same calming attributes of blue.

Green is everywhere you look in Bali. These are some of the places and things that inspired this line.

Made In Bali With Love

What does a dreamy day in Bali look and feel like?  It feels like this.  Join us on an adventure through the beautiful land that is Bali and one independent girl's journey as she runs the course of her day, showcasing new collections by Anna Beck Designs.  The title, Selamat Pagi, means "Good Morning" in Balinese; which is exactly how every day begins in this majestic land.

A Trip to Byron Bay

A few months ago I traveled to Byron Bay, Australia to visit our photographer for Anna Beck and good friend, Sybil Steele.  Byron has a magical healing quality, where the surf meets the rolling green hills and most people are quite content with a creative, simple, and active life. 

Bali parallels Byron in many ways, but there were striking differences. The spirit of the city, which is one of positivity, health and nature, truly captured me while I was there.  The highlights of my trip included an afternoon visit to the little town of Bangalow, and witnessing the breath-taking views of beaches and animal life from atop the lighthouses along the coast.
